- i am in luv wid life rite now..atleast at this moment..im sittin in my room listenin to songs from guru and wow..feels so gr8..hope the feelin lasts..it is really upto urself to keep urself happy..talkin about guru...nice movie..really nice movie..had a combo of everything..proper hindi masala u know..right amount of sarcasm, emotions, beauty, realism..really worth a watch in the theatre..abhishek resembles amitabh bachhan so muchhhh..i had fun watchin it esp. as i went with 2 exchange students who are friends of mine..awesome experience explaining dialogues to them..esp. scenes like where abhishek decides to marry because he needs money for his business..coz tat was a pretty big shock for them tat it actually happens..hehe..anyways somehow felt proud showing them a bollywood movie..enjoyed looking at it in a new perspective..
- people have so many different ways of handling things..we recently had elections in the hostel and i voted against the junior standing for the post of maint secy coz i thought she looked as if she couldn't handle pressure..tho she got elected anyways obviously..and yesterday she got my tubelight fixed..i had been livin wid a defective one for two months..wen i asked her how she managed to get the electrician, she said in her childish tone"i made him promise"..wow..i was impressed..and here i thought she wouldn't be able to manage coz she looked such a kid..sorry richa(thats her name) and thanx for teachin me never to underestimate anyone..and thnx for the tubelight again..
- i gave auditions for main GC drama yesterday..tats r interhostel drama competition..i dont think il pass..lemme keep my fingers crossed.
- i want to write and direct a play someday..nd i will in my stay at IIT..i will...i promise to myself..
- i loveeeeeeeee indiaaaaaaaaa...seriously..this is where i want to spend my whole life..though i want to go out and learn about other cultures for a short while..

love
well someone asked me this qtn on d blog
"how do u thnk the horse depicts love?"
the image i have put on the previous to previous blog is my picture of love as an emotion..love..this picture shows all the creatures in pairs...mayb as nature intends them to be eventually in life..all of dem..be it the birds, the butterflies or the horses are free...flyin away..running away to freedom..away from the retrictions society puts on you..away from what your near ones expect..away from what the world wud expect u to do ideally..lost in the pure feeling of two people caring and loving each other..
and more than the individual components, it is the picture on the whole..i read a beautiful idea somewhere..that maths does not apply to real life..everything doesnt add up to the sum..same with this picture..the individual beauty of the components does not add up to the actual beauty that the picture has..it is above what it is made of..i donot know if i am being clear about what i am saying..atleast im clear to myself:)..

bhopal gas tragedy
did you know that
1) a part of the corporation Union Carbide which owned the plant that causes bhopal gas tragedy has being renamed as eveready insutries(whose cells we all use) so as to make people forget their anger for Union Carbide and still sell their products.
2) the ceo of union carbide at that time has still not been extradited from US.
3) the governement of india was confered the right by the courts to fight for the bhopal citizens and insted of the 3.3 billion initial compensation demand, they settled for 470 million.
4) the plant in bhopal still lies polluted with the pollutants seeping into the groundwater.
5) dow industries with which UC merged refused to accept any responsibility now for this event.
6) dow chemicals has an ad campaign sayin there should be a human element like all the other elements and in this campaign has done philanthrophic work in bombay, while at the same time this is the company which produced dangerous chemicals like napalm nd agent orange used in vietnam war...tats called hypocrisy.
7) Sunil Kumar, a Bhopal gas survivor (who lost his parents and five siblings in the tragedy) who worked tirelessly with the international campaign for justice on Bhopal, committed suicide recently. Thousands of other survivors suffer psychological afflictions, but there are no provisions for the treatment of mental health problems as a consequence of the gas disaster.

you can't please everyone
You know lots of people have this ailment..”not being able to say no to people”..
i had this..i used to give more importance to people rather than myself..that way I would end up troubling myself a lot for other people’s sake..thats bad because you cant keep others happy till you are happy so don’t try to be god..just be a normal human being.
An Aesop fable
A man and his son were once going with their Donkey to market. As they were walking along by its side a countryman passed them and said: “You fools, what is a Donkey for but to ride upon?”
So the Man put the Boy on the Donkey and they went on their way. But soon they passed a group of men, one of whom said: “See that lazy youngster, he lets his father walk while he rides.”
So the Man ordered his Boy to get off, and got on himself. But they hadn't gone far when they passed two women, one of whom said to the other: “Shame on that lazy lout to let his poor little son trudge along.”
Well the Man didn't know what to do, but at last he took his Boy up before him on the Donkey. By this time they had come to the town, and the passersby began to jeer and point at them. The Man stopped and asked what they were scoffing at. The men said: “Aren't you ashamed of yourself for overloading that poor Donkey of yours—you and your hulking son?”
The man and Boy got off and tried to think what to do. They thought and they thought, till at last they cut down a pole, tied the Donkey's feet to it, and raised the pole and the Donkey to their shoulders. They went along amid the laughter of all who met them till they came to Market Bridge, when the Donkey, getting one of his feet loose, kicked out and caused the Boy to drop his end of the pole. In the struggle the Donkey fell over the bridge, and his fore-feet being tied together, he was drowned.
“That will teach you,” said an old man who had followed them:
“Please all, and you will please none.”
Well, so the best thing is to keep yourself happy..dont agree to do someone’s work if it makes u overburdened or unhappy because anyways you won’t do it properly then.dont give your commitment a higher priority than yourself..because you matter first and then your commitment..this way you may end up getting gaalis from some people but atleast u’ll be happy and anyways you’ll get sum gaalis(*&#*$#$&*#@#*) so why not get them for your happiness..
